Desk Du Jour

Dark wood anchors a gorgeous graphic rug and open built-in bookcases while sconces between the shelves were the perfect choice to complement the mirrored pendant hanging above the desk. And how much do you love the vintage numbers above the door? Très chic!

Tibi Spring 2011

Flirty and fresh-faced was the name of the game at Tibi, where feminine silhouettes in unexpected hues ruled the runway. Who else could pull off the perfect spring trench, purple romper, and yellow jumpsuit in the same collection?

P.S. Have you seen Tibi's blog? The illustrations are fantastic.

High Style Hallways

We all know it's about the journey and not the destination. By the looks of these gorgeous hallways, it seems the same thinking applies to interior design! It makes sense that we should transition from one beautiful room to the next via an equally stylish hallway. Airy, artsy, or au natural... What's your favorite way to get from A to B?

Hippie Chic

Shopbop does it again! This Haute Hippie lookbook is brimming with ready-to-wear inspiration for this transitional weather, not to mention the gorgeous décor in the background! Schoolgirl chic and an end table piled high with old books... A backless gown reflected in the mirror above the mantle... On-trend faux fur for eating takeout in the apartment kitchen... A reminder to us all that even the everyday can — and should — be wildly glamorous!

Edor

How about a little sparkle to celebrate the end of the week? I'm thrilled to introduce you to my sponsor Edor's gorgeous (not to mention totally affordable!) jewelry collection. Each piece is prettier than the last!

I will forever be in awe of Diane von Furstenberg's unparalleled ability to mix different prints. The silhouettes are flattering, the colors are fab, but her prints get me every time.

I keep coming back to the combination of chic neutrals and red-hot shoes on the runway at J.Mendel. I love the natural hair paired with bright red lips — and the idea that any of these spring looks could be translated into outfits for fall. A khaki sweater paired with red-orange ballet flats for class? Don't mind if I do!

I love every look that walked down the runway at ADAM. I spy the perfect pair of wide-leg pants, lots of ladylike shimmer, and ethereal chiffon — really, what's not to love?

Rue Magazine Party!

I had the pleasure of celebrating the Rue Magazine launch in New York City last night with their whole team and a room full of design blogger idols.
Me, Marianne of Haven and Home, Camila of High-Heeled Foot in the Door, Crystal of Plush Palate, and Julieann of CreateGirl.
The same crew plus Alaina of Live Creating Yourself!
With Will of Bright.Bazaar and Emily of Emily A. Clark.
Isn't she gorgeous?
With Emily of The Brass Petal and HGTV Design Star fame, Brooke of Fabulous Doodles, Camila of High-Heeled Foot in the Door, and Marianne of Haven and Home.
I heart Crystal!

Wiped out at the end of the night... But so worth it!

Huge thanks to the New York Design Center for hosting us and heartfelt congratulations to Crystal and the Rue team.

Fabricadabra

The name of my second sponsor is a rather whimsical one and I like to think that their offerings have a similarly magical effect in the homes they enter. It looks as though ikat is here to stay and Fabricadabra is the place to get your budget-friendly fix!

How chic would this khaki ikat be in Crystal's stunningly monochromatic space?

{$45}
This scale-like gray ikat would be a welcome textural addition to this well-lit living room.

A cheery yellow ikat would be a perfect fit for this sunlit stairwell.

Jen used a pair in this hot pink pattern to modernize her antique settee.

How and where do you use ikat in your home?
