WEEKEND WARDROBE

top  //  earrings  //  sunglasses  //  skirt  //  bow bracelet  //  bow flats  //  bag

Do you ever feel like the best part of travel is coming home? This will be my first weekend in New York since early May and I'm pretty happy about it. I have a little picnic planned for tonight (I'll try to Instagram!) and brunch with blogger friends on Sunday but other than that the weekend is a blank canvas. Sometimes those are the best kinds, don't you think? I hope you all have a good one! xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

top  //  scarf  //  shorts  //  bag  //  shoes

It's here, it's here, it's finally here! The first of many summer trips to Nantucket is this weekend and I could NOT be more excited. Will and my friend Jane have never been so it will be extra fun to show them around the island (and it's always a treat to have Amy along — remember these gorgeous photos?). Grayson, his friend, and my cousin Sarah are up there working at Millie's again so we'll have a full house! I'm so looking forward to blueberry muffins from the 'Sconset Market, iced coffee on the beach, and a stack of unread books and magazines. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend as well! xx

P.S. I've been living in this top lately and it's 25% off with code SUMMERTIME!

WEEKEND WARDROBE

hat  //  sunglasses  //  bracelet  //  anchor dress  //  bag  //  bow sandals (also available as wedges!)

This weekend Will and I are off to Princeton reunions. I've never been (and feel a little out of place as a Bucknell grad...) but I'll get to hang with a bunch of our friends and spend some time in the sunshine so no complaints here. I'm obsessed with this darling little anchor dress and I can't wait to get my hands on these bow sandals — just need to decide whether I'd get more use out of the flats or the wedge version. Any opinions?

I'm sad to be missing the big polo match this weekend but it's crazy how quickly my summer is filling up with seasonal festivities: baseball games, jaunts to Nantucket, wedding weekends... In my opinion t's the most wonderful time of the year! And not just because I have a summer birthday ;) Have a great weekend and before you go, tell me: what's one thing you're looking forward to this summer?

WEEKEND WARDROBE

Road trip! We're hitting the road and heading to Philadelphia for a wedding. (I'll be wearing the dress you all picked out for me!) I'm excited to get out of town for a couple days, meet a bunch of new people, and hit the dance floor. I'd like to wear the above outfit for the drive out there... I saw this dress on a girl at an event with Sleepy Jones this week and immediately had to have it. We might have time for brunch on Sunday before heading back to the city so Philadelphia peeps, please leave your suggestions in a comment! Happy weekending and thanks for reading! xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

necklace  //  hat  //  tank top  //  bracelet  //  nail polish  //  blanket  //  book clutch  //  shorts  //  wedges

TGIF. It's been a busy week around here and it's definitely not slowing down anytime soon. I'm headed to the National Stationery Show on Monday, have my first intern for the boutique starting on Wednesday, and will be out of town the following three weekends. Sooo this is my last weekend in New York for a little while and I plan to make the most of it by laying low in the park (Turkish towel in tow) and frequenting a couple of my favorite brunch spots. Whatever you're up to, make it a good one! xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

scalloped tank  //  necklace  //  blush  //  jeans  //  sandals (on sale!)

Happy Friday, friends! I'm getting ready for a housewarming brunch at my apartment tomorrow (time to stuff everything I own into one closet...) and hoping to cross something off my 101 in 1001 list on Sunday... Maybe walking Rory across the Brooklyn Bridge if the thunderstorms hold off? I spent some quality time with my mom in Connecticut on her day off yesterday and couldn't ask for a smarter, more caring, or more beautiful role model. Happy Mother's Day to all the mamas out there! xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

Happy Derby weekend! One day I hope I'll get to head down to Kentucky and experience the real deal but this weekend I'm putting my party inspiration to use and throwing a little backyard get-together! I'm excited to don a pretty dress (I'll be sure to snap a few pictures!) and try my hand at making mint juleps (who has a favorite recipe?). I hope you have a wonderful weekend! xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

scalloped sweater  /  earrings  /  lip gloss  / wedges  /  cuff  /  skinny jeans  /  clutch (25% off code FRIENDLY)

How darling is this scalloped sweater? My friend Kathleen emailed it to me and I don't think I can live without it. Which color do you like best? I probably don't need another navy top but it's so tempting...

I'm really looking forward to a weekend at home after last week's Austin escapades. Tonight Amy and I are headed to the Tribeca Film Festival to see the documentary Dior and I and tomorrow my friend Jane is hosting a dinner party (teach me your ways!). Besides that, there will be lots of coffee, time at the dog park, and wandering my new neighborhood. I hope you all have a good one! xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

Thanks to all your awesome recommendations, I have a fun-packed weekend in Austin ahead of me! I couldn't be more excited. If you want to see what we're up to, be sure to follow along on Instagram! In terms of travel clothes, I kept it super unfussy so we can do lots of walking before my feet start to hurt. Love the look above? Great news: the sunglasses, ring, wallet, shorts, and weekender are all under $75. Happy weekend indeed! xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

pearls  //  lip gloss  //  notepad  //  cosmetic case  //  dress  //  weekender  //  heels

I'm packing my bags for a day trip to Rhode Island, where Carly and I will be talking about the building blocks of blogging at the Lady Project Summit. (And I'm excited to use my cute new little cosmetic case — please check out the new arrivals if you haven't already!) This week really did a number on me so I'm excited to get out of the city for a day and clear my head — road trips are good for that, aren't they? I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well. xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

hat  //  earrings  //  dress  //  luminizer  //  clutch  //  sandals

Hello, April! So good to see you. I'd like to put on a pretty dress and a chic hat (safe sunning, always!) and skip through the sunshine. I'm headed to Rhode Island for the weekend (follow along on Instagram!) but I'm insanely grateful for the sunshine in New York this week. I can already tell spring in the West Village is going to be a magical thing. Brilliant sunsets and iced coffee dates and outdoor cafés, oh my! Wishing you a warm and wonderful weekend! xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

Whew, happy Friday! This week I interviewed two fabulous new career features, had a couple brand meetings, took outfit pictures in insane wind (can't wait to see how those turn out... eek), and did dinner and drinks with a bunch of girlfriends I hadn't seen in way too long. The career shoots in particular have become a really rewarding part of my week... I'm always nervous on the way there but the actual interview is always inspiring and I always leave with an extra skip in my step. I hope you feel the same way reading them! It makes me excited to keep producing original content for the blog and see what else my little corner of the internet could become.

This weekend is supposed to rain so I'm thinking it's time to catch up on my Netflix queue (anyone else getting really into House of Cards?!) and maybe catch a movie in theaters if there's anything worth seeing. (Recommendations please!) Whatever you're up to, stay dry and have a good one! xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

blazer  //  earrings  //  tank top  //  wicker bag  //  leather watch  //  jeans  //  ballet flats

I can't get over how cute this wicker camera clutch is. The perfect weekend bag! We're expecting weather in the 50s again so I'm making plans to catch up with one of my oldest friends, log some serious time playing fetch at the dog park, and shoot a couple things for the blog.

This week was so much fun with a panel on building a blog and online businessgirls' night outnew career feature, and two days of Photoshop fun (more on that next week!). It was a great reminder of how much I love what I do: sharing, writing, photographing for the blog and constantly learning something new to improve the boutique. I can't wait to do it all again on Monday. But for now, let's do this, weekend! Have a great one. xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

shirt  //  lipstick (so many new shades!)  //  bangles  //  tote (want this so bad!)  //  heels  //  jeans

I can't tell you how happy I am this weekend is finally here! This was really the week that went on forever. As much as I love my new neighborhood, moving is definitely a pain in the you-know-what. On top of that, I came down with a nasty cold — winter, please get lost. But on a happy note, I've been counting down to this weekend since giving my mom and sister tickets to the Lion King on Broadway for Christmas! We're seeing a matinée tomorrow and I'm so excited — I've heard great things!

Oh and the best part? It's supposed to hit 50* here tomorrow which means spring must not be so far off after all. I'm using it as an excuse to trade my winter coat for my field jacket and throw it over an ensemble like the above: classic silk shirt, an armful of tortoiseshell bangles, and a dash of pretty-in-pink lipstick. (P.S. Have any of you tried Tory Burch's lipstick? The packaging has me head over heels!) Have a good one, friends. xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

Sophie Hulme clutch  //  J Brand jeans  //  Coach ring  //  Michael Antonio heels (on sale for $44!)

Can you believe it's the last day of January? I have no idea where this month went but I'm pretty excited to be that much closer to warmer weather. I'm dying for an excuse to splurge on this Cynthia Rowley bow top... You know when you're shopping online and something kind of stops you in your tracks? This top is a little outside my usual comfort zone (let's be serious, when's the last time you saw me wear a print that wasn't stripes? umm, never) but click over to see it on the model and I think you'll agree it's a showstopper. I do need to get shopping for fashion week... ;) Have a great weekend, friends!

WEEKEND WARDROBE

Mango dress ($79!)  //  T+J Designs necklace  //  J.Crew clutch  //  Kate Spade riding boots (on sale!)

I bought these Kate Spade riding boots and it was basically love at first sight when they arrived this week. (Although you should order a half size up if you're on the fence!) Unfortunately it's been such a rainy/slushy/snowy mess in New York that I've been afraid to wear them outside my apartment. Thankfully my mom and I are on our way to Atlanta (thank you SO much for all your recommendations!) so I'll finally be able to wear them in weather that isn't downright miserable. Have a good one and be sure to follow along on Instagram!

WEEKEND WARDROBE

Ever since picking up this sweater in Boston, I've been infatuated with winter white. Paired with a classic camel bag and jewel tone accessories, it's rather chic, don't you think? Wishing you all a stylish weekend! xx

WEEKEND WARDROBE

All J.Crew, all the time.

This is actually the opposite of what I'll wearing this weekend because I'm home in Connecticut getting ready to — drumroll, please — SKYDIVE tomorrow! (Although, trust me, if you could jump out of a plane in chartreuse satin pumps, I'd be all over it.) Can you say best birthday present ever? I'm going with my brother Grayson and can't wait to cross #98 off my 101 in 1001 list.

Who's already been skydiving? Who's dying to try it? Should I be shaking in my boots right now?! Do tell! And have a good one, whether you're laying low or, you know, leaping out of a plane at 120 mph. Eeeeek!

WEEKEND WARDROBE

It's shaping up to be another hot, hot, hot weekend in New York! This kind of humidity calls for an easy breezy dress and unfussy accessories like these leather sandals which I'm quite convinced I need. Oh and don't forget the sunscreen — I go through a bottle of this almost every month!

Keep up with Design Darling

WEEKEND WARDROBE

If you happen to be starting your Fourth of July festivities early, why aren't you taking me with you here's a little inspiration for your weekend look. Isn't the striped maxi seriously stunning? I'm sure I'd have to have it hemmed half a foot but it might just be worth it. Whatever you're up to this weekend, make it a great one! xx
