NEW YORK CITY GUIDE: LAFAYETTE

Thank you all for your comments on the first post in this series! Amy and I loved reading about all your favorite New York spots and can't wait to try them all firsthand. Here's where we went this weekend...

Who: Amy of course!

What: Sunday brunch at Lafayette

Where: 380 Lafayette Street, NoHo

Why: Excellent people watching, pretty business cards and matchbooks, and the best almond croissant you've ever tasted.

Ah, looks so perfect and clean...just like your blog. I love the color of your pumps against the blue of the restaurant!

I haven't tried Lafayette yet - but you should tried Five Points right around the corner from it. I was there last Sunday! The best lemon ricotta pancakes you'll ever try

Yum! The food looks fantastique, but what I'm really loving are the matchbooks. I was just talking the other day about how I was sad I missed the days of matchbooks in restaurants.

I die. Those shoes are everything. Did you buy the ivory Everly's and then have then dyed chartreuse, or were these just from an older season and are no longer available online?
