How cool are these mirrored tortoiseshell sunglasses? They're from Cynthia Rowley's new eyewear collection (next on my list: these cat eye eyeglasses!). I'm excited to be partnering with Rowley Eyewear to be giving one lucky reader the frames — eyeglasses or sunnies — of her choice! Want to win? Simply follow the steps in the widget below and I'll be contacting the winner on Friday. Good luck! xx

OUTFIT {STRIPES & RIDING BOOTS}

A standard everyday look: striped shirt, skinny jeans, riding boots... And my new favorite watch. It was my favorite Christmas present and I've been wearing it literally every day since. There's a lot to be said for investing in pieces you'll use a ton. Some of my best purchases in 2013 were this coat, this jacket, and this entire outfit. What was yours?!

OUTFIT {CLUB MONACO SWEATER}

Say hello to one of my favorite Christmas presents... This adorable pom pom hat from Club Monaco. Thanks Reilly! I've been wearing it pretty much nonstop since I opened it on Christmas morning — I know the pom pom is a little big but it makes me so very happy! Oh and the leather detail on this sweater? Club Monaco does it again.

I'm also obsessed with these Yosi Samra flats. They're navy and black (a color combo you know I love) with the sweetest little bow — and they fold up when you're not wearing them, making them the perfect ballet flat for traveling. I'm actually in Dallas for New Year's and they were the first thing I tossed in my suitcase!

P.S. I've received a few emails about my favorite jeans... They do run true to size but, if you're between sizes, I recommend ordering one size down as they do stretch a bit over time. I hope that helps! Happy New Year everybody!!!

OUTFIT {MADEWELL COLORBLOCK SWEATER}

Elizabeth & James booties (similar)

It's taken me for-ev-er but I've definitely settled into a typical workweek routine in the city. Eddy and I pack orders for the boutique on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and Carly and I work on our laptops at a coffee shop on Tuesday/Thursday. Ideally I'd be spending less time packing boxes and more time on blog collaborations and product sourcing but still I've never felt so happy to be working hard at something I love.

This is a pretty standard look for me these days: oversized sweater, skinny jeans, and shoes that don't kill my feet. Carly and I have vowed to snap each other's outfits more often (does this mean I have to do my hair every day?) so I hope you'll stay tuned for a few more style posts around these parts! xx

OUTFIT {J.CREW COCOON COAT}

J.Crew cocoon coat (use code HOLIDAY)
Rag & Bone jeans (use code BIGEVENT13)
J.Crew Everly suede pumps (use code HOLIDAY)
Loren Hope earrings (use code THANKS)

I cannot believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I headed back to Connecticut last night but snapped these pictures with my sister when she came to the city for dinner a couple nights ago. The weather has been absolutely freezing in New York so I've been living in my new cocoon coat. We're off to Rhode Island to spend Thanksgiving with our awesome extended family — be sure to follow along on Instagram! I'll pop back in tomorrow with all the Black Friday sales you won't want to miss. Have a lovely holiday weekend!

OUTFIT {HOW TO WEAR A PONCHO}

I've been something of a sweater fiend lately — all I want to wear are elbow patch sweaters and oversized cashmere. I wasn't entirely sure how to wear a poncho before Jigsaw sent me this pretty knit option but now it's seriously the comfiest item of clothing I own. I wore mine over a plain navy t-shirt but I also think it would be pretty cute over an oxford shirt! What do you think? Would you wear a poncho? Let's hear it!

P.S. Check back here this afternoon for an exciting announcement!

OUTFIT {ELIZABETH MCKAY}

Oh man, these pictures bring back the best memories from our trip to Boston! Carly and I took these outfit pictures the day after one too many gin and tonics my beloved Red Sox advanced to the World Series on the most perfect fall day in Beacon Hill. We're both wearing pieces from our friend Elizabeth McKay's beautiful collection — I can't get enough of this navy cropped jacket and its hot pink silk lining. It feels like it was made just for me!

I'm wearing:
Krewe du Optic sunglasses c/o  //  Tory Burch bag  //  Madewell desert boots (old, similar here and here)

OUTFIT {FALL UNIFORM}

Madewell desert boots (old, similar here and here)

My fall uniform: field jacket, stripes, skinny jeans, easy-to-wear boots. I wore this to the Head of the Charles in Boston last weekend and have been living in some variation of this look since the temperatures dropped in New York. What does your fall uniform consist of?!

NAVY OR NOTHING

Henry & Belle jeans c/o  //  Marais bow slippers (25% off at Shopbop this week!)

A few items I've been living in lately: tortoiseshell sunglasses in the coolest matte finish, the coziest sweater complete with elbow patches, a statement ring inspired by a Parisian doorknocker, and the sweetest little navy bow slippers. The head-to-toe navy should come as no surprise ;) What's in heavy rotation in your wardrobe lately? Do tell!

KATE SPADE BEAU BAG

J. Brand jeans c/o  //  Elizabeth & James booties (similar)  //  Ray-Ban eyeglasses

Christmas came early last week when Kate Spade sent me the black and tan version of their new Beau bag! It was the perfect end to fashion week and I'm absolutely obsessed with the color combo (especially given my plans to mix black and navy all fall). I spent most of yesterday wandering around SoHo and the West Village with Amy — the weather was seriously perfect for ducking in and out of stores and having lunch (and coffee... and dinner...) outside. Fall weather, spontaneous girlfriends, and a little Kate Spade... Weekends don't get much better than that!

OUTFIT {ALICE & OLIVIA BOW JACKET}

Alice & Olivia bow jacket  //  Club Monaco tuxedo shorts (different color on sale)

You know I love me a little navy jacket (ahem) and this Alice & Olivia bow jacket is the cream of the, er, crop. The jersey fabric is super comfortable, the construction is amazing (each part snaps closed to keep its shape), it's my favorite color... I mean, the oversized bow is really just the icing on the cake. I wore it on Sunday to a few fashion week events and I'm pretty sure I've never received more compliments or "where'd you get that?" inquiries on an item of clothing in my life. If you're looking to treat yourself to a ladylike piece for fall, this is it.

OUTFIT {J.CREW LEATHER TEE}

C. Wonder cat eye sunglasses  //  Elizabeth & James booties (similar)

I wore this outfit on Saturday for a couple fashion week events as well as lunch and dinner with a group of blogger friends. This navy leather top is about as edgy / fashion-forward as I get without straying outside my comfort zone. The back is a heather gray knit so it feels like wearing a dressier version of a sweatshirt... Perfect for a day that started at 10 a.m. and ended past midnight!

P.S. I was looking for a new pair of skinny jeans and my dear friend Amy (who took these pictures and keeps denying my requests to feature her for friends with style — I'm working on it) steered me toward Rag & Bone's skinny jeans in the Kensington wash. So, so, so good. Stay tuned for a new series featuring our favorite spots in the city!

P.P.S. The navy nails were a gel manicure (#fashionweeksplurge) but Essie's new After School Boy Blazer is a dead ringer!

OUTFIT {C. WONDER}

Silk pocket skirt (want this in every color!)  //  Stretch jodhpur patch leggings

Have you guys heard about C. Wonder's Get Prepped campaign? Carly and I had a blast choosing items from the new collection and styling them for cooler weather ahead (naturally we chose the same shoes...). I'd previously only shopped C. Wonder for home decor so it was kind of fun to put together an entire look. I'm totally into these jodhpur leggings for fall but I'm having a legit love affair with this shirt — it costs less than $100 and comes in seven colors so you know I'll be stocking up.

P.S. You can find my eyeglasses here!
