Style Icon {Gwyneth Paltrow}

who doesn't love gwyneth paltrow? besides her impressive résumé, i find we could learn a lot from her fashion choices both on and off the red carpet. she certainly knows what works for her — she loves the color black but will occasionally introduce navy or white, she knows how to rock a daringly short minidress, and she practically patented the blunt bob we see her with today.
rocking a balenciaga lbd.
rocker chic in black balmain.
a barely there minidress by preen.
a personal favorite: paltrow steals the spotlight in racy stella mccartney.
classic yves saint laurent.
stunning in dramatic floor-length ferragamo.
lovely in (backless) lace by antonio berardi.
testing out the nude trend in elie saab haute couture.
straying (just barely!) from her favored black in navy chanel.
a day in the life: sitting front row at adolfo dominguez.
a fresh take on summery style in giambattista valli.
if it ain't broke, don't fix it: paltrow nails it in another stella mccartney number.
walking the walk in an alice + olivia coat and christian louboutin booties.
showing up to husband chris martin's coldplay concert.
a never-fails color combination for when there's nothing else you want to wear.
her statuesque frame pulls off head-to-toe white beautifully.
wedge booties put an edgy spin on a classic tweed blazer.
lighting up a tv appearance in a sparkly gold jacket.

what do you think of her style? any favorite looks?

style icon {cameron diaz}

the woman needs no introduction. cameron diaz is 36, has acted in everything from kiddie classic shrek to chick flick favorite the holiday, and has a smile and a body that many would kill for. her fashion picks on and off the red carpet — think minidresses galore — are perfect inspiration for the warmer weather ahead. (above, stepping out in pierre hardy wedges.)
rocking an asymmetrical j.mendel dress and blush pierre hardy heels at the new york premiere of my sister's keeper.

sporting a punchy orange in 3.1 phillip lim at spike tv's guys' choice awards in 2008, where she won the "decade of hotness" award. well-deserved, no?

cameron opts for a playful pink chanel minidress for the premiere of shrek the third.

one of my favorite looks: a demure zac posen sheath for the 2008 premiere of what happens in vegas.
lunching with mike meyers in proenza schouler.
radiant in alexander mcqueen at the tokyo premiere of shrek the third.
keeping the accessories to a minimum in a john galliano for dior dress at the 2008 oscars.
one of her most daring looks: paring a magenta dior gown with turquoise jewels for the costume institute gala at the metropolitan museum.
stealing the spotlight in oscar de la renta at the 2010 oscars.

style icon {lauren conrad}

i find lauren conrad's style is always fresh and age-appropriate. she often sticks with what she knows works for her — long blond hair, sun-kissed skin, and fitted silhouettes — but plays around with make-up and color. she's got the l.a. casual look down pat, but lately her more professional looks have been catching my eye. hitting the road to promote her new book, sweet little lies, she has given fans quite the fashion eyeful.
the california cool look she mastered during her laguna beach upbringing...
...and a more polished look by madewell 1937.
a monochromatic khaki look sets off blond tresses and tan skin.
dewy skin and a classic LBD.
promoting her new book in a plastic island jacket.
red hot in hervé léger.

Style Icon {Kate Bosworth}

this blue-and-brown-eyed beauty has killer street style and an enviable track record on the red carpet to boot. dressed up or dressed down, kate bosworth is definitely one to watch.
au naturel in calvin klein.
accessorizing her alexander wang mini with red lips and leopard print heels.
a neutral number from rodarte.
stealing the show in alexander mcqueen.
keeping it casual in calvin klein. (but could somebody fix her ankle strap?!)
straying from her neutral tendencies in hot pink preen.
backless in gucci.
an easily duplicated casual look: aviators, black peacoat, neutral bucket bag, skinny jeans, pointed flats.
a crossbody bag and sky-high wedges make a simple t-shirt and jeans combo something special.
classically chic in a white skirt suit and black pumps.
a signature kate look: straight blond hair, natural makeup, a khaki short suit by chloé, and great shoes (same ones as two photos above!).

style icon {blake lively}

the gossip girl star outshines her costars in age-appropriate looks for both day and night. preppy, tasteful, with the occasional pop of bright color... what's not to love?
not your average LBD... a square neckline and flirty peplum take this look to another level.
the popped collar and upswept hair keep this look fun and not too businesslike.
the perfect look for new year's eve: subtle with a bit of sparkle.
casual chic in jeans and boots.
girly girl: wavy hair, playful jewelry, platform sandals.
monochromatic...
...then bam! she ups the wow factor in hot pink and leg-lengthening nude heels.
and the perfect note to end on: her signature tousled locks and this bangin' backless number.
