QUOTE DU JOUR

As I mentioned in this post, my next 101 in 1001 list is going to feature a few travel goals. It was so fascinating to read your comments on this post about where you've traveled and it definitely got me thinking about which cities and countries I'd like to visit next. I'm dying to visit a new continent — South America perhaps?

Have you visited a new place this year? Have a trip in the works? What's next on your list of must-sees? Let's compare notes!

A RAINY DAY ON NANTUCKET

A few snapshots of a rainy day spent popping into shops in my favorite place in the world...
Space, 4 Old South Wharf
One Orange, 1 Old South Wharf
Peter Beaton, 16 Federal Street
Eye of the Needle, 14 Federal Street
16 Main Street
Milly & Grace, 2 Washington Street

I'll spare you the evidence of the bright green oversized raincoat I fished out of my grandmother's closet for the occasion. ;)

JAMIE BECK IN CANNES

Do you all follow fashion photographer Jamie Beck? I'm a teensy bit obsessed with her work. These gorgeous pictures from her recent trip to Cannes have me filled with travel envy...

See the rest of her photos here and here and be sure you're following her on Instagram as well! Do you have any favorite photographers I should know about? Do tell!

WHERE HAVE YOU TRAVELED?

I'm spending the next couple weekends out of town (my sister's graduation, Sarah's wedding!) and it made me think how much I miss traveling, both near and far. I lived in France for six months in college, moved to California for a few months after graduation, and my family has a goal to see all fifty states together... It's safe to say I love a good adventure!

I thought it would be fun to count up the number of countries and states I've visited and ask you to do the same! (You know I love a good list.) My tally is 12 countries and 36 states — I would love to hear yours! One of the goals on my bucket list is to set foot on all seven continents and so far I've only hit two. How about you?!

P.S. How cool is this corkboard map?

TREEBONES RESORT

Finally a campsite where cute PJs and fancy luggage aren't totally out of place! Who wants to plan a trip to Big Sur? Too cool...

P.S. Also dying to travel here.

SNAPSHOTS FROM DALLAS

I got back from Dallas yesterday and I miss it already! The friendly people, warm weather, not to mention all my favorite blogger friends... This was such an amazing weekend.
Carly and I flew out early, early, early Friday morning and had to laugh at our matching J. McLaughlin monogrammed duffel bags
Our blogging conference was held at Hotel Zaza. I could get used to hanging out at their pool every day...
Lots of fashion blogger friends means lots of amazing shoes. I had to snap this picture of me (in these J.Crew Etta pumps), Carly, Julia, Kat, Liz, Chassity, and Alex chitchatting outside.
Carly and I grabbed drinks (and guacamole, of course) with our friend Emily from Tuckernuck. I was majorly coveting her Manuel Canovas toile skirt!
Carly and I in my favorite color combination ;) I wore a dress by The Letter that I snagged on Gilt and these J.Crew gladiator wedges (last seen here).

HEADED TO DALLAS!

I'm headed to Texas for the weekend and I couldn't be more excited. It's my first trip to Dallas and I'm eager to explore the city that so many of my customers and readers call home! I'll be seeing lots of my blogging besties, meeting with a few awesome brands, and soaking up everything I can in just two short days. I'm sure I'll have lots to share come Monday! Have a good one :)

LET'S GO THERE

The colors in these pictures are utterly breathtaking, no? Taken by photographer Steve Back, they showcase an aerial view of Hutt Lagoon in western Australia. The colors come from naturally occurring algae that have been concentrated into manmade lagoons. Pictures like this give me insane wanderlust! Have you traveled down under? What country or continent is next on your list?
