Definitely subtle and chic. With outfits usually scarves or jewelry (sometimes even shoes), and in the home pillows, blankets, small items is the way to go. I feel like you really get to appreciate the intense color more in small doses. When the whole room is that shade your eye desensitizes to it quickly.

If you are wearing it, go all out with accessories. If you are decorating with it, use it in big punches of wow like floor cushions, drapes, poofs.

i like orange in the home but only an accent! in fashion though i think its so arresting when there is one bold piece (like that dress!!) or the pants at monique lhuillier.

I used to be completely against orange, but it has grown on me a lot. Especially as a punch to a neutral room/outfit.
