When I came to California, I thought I was packing for summer — sunshine, warm weather, etc. Little did I know that San Francisco summers are anything but! With the chilly temps and hazy fog we've been experiencing lately, I can safely say I'd much rather be hanging at actor Hank Azaria's Bel Air home a few hours south of here...
Designed by Trip Haenisch, the 1932 property features views of both the ocean and the bright lights of Los Angeles.
I love the open plan of the kitchen. The stainless steel and more rustic island make for a very organic feel — just the California cool I've been missing!
Where there's sunshine, there ought to be an outdoor living space. I could happily spend all day out here, blogging and reading for my 101 in 1001 list.
The interior of the home leaves nothing to be desired, featuring dramatic pinstriped walls and an on-trend Beni Ourain rug.
And then there's this. I mean, what more could you need?

That pool looks heavenly, especially today, it's 90+ in Boston!
That kitchen is to die for! And I LOVE the outdoor sitting space!!
OOoOo that kitchen and outdoor space... I'm dreaming away right now!
"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco" or something like that! Come down here to So Cal where it's nice and warm. ;o)
Hank's done really well for himself, hasn't he? Gorgeous.
That pool is my dream! LOVE it! xoxo
I could live in the outdoor sitting space.
This post makes me miss 'Brothers & Sisters' already. That California chic feel is so elusive here in Nashville. :)
don't think I'd ever leave the outdoor living room ... coffee in the morning and lead into lunch with a good book then spend the evening sipping wine out there until dinner ... easy peasy!
Wow, what a gorgeous house! I totally agree with you on the kitchen--it's like the essence of (sophisticated) California cool.
We are roasting over here on the the East Coast, maybe we could trade climates for a day?
