APARTMENT UPDATES

{Books top to bottom: one, two, three, four, five, six}

I've crossed a few things off the apartment to do list but it's definitely still a work in progress! I'll continue to share bits and pieces on Instagram until it's ready to be photographed. How long did it take for you to make your first place feel like home? Tell me I'm not crazy for taking a few months to make everything just right ;)

Keep up with Design Darling

Oh you know....just 1.5 years ;)

we've been in our house for around 1.5 years and it is still no where near complete! i just want to make sure that I LOVE everything we bring into our home. i don't want to buy just for the sake of filling up the space :-)

My first apartment wasn't too hard to decorate but it was not nearly as cute as yours! Its taken a longer time to get our house together, not so much b/c its so huge (it isn't) but after 3 years each room is starting to feel more cohesive.

Definitely not ready to be photographed though! Can't wait to see your apartment though, it may motivate me to work a bit harder on my decorating!

Crazy? No way! I've been in my place for 1.5 years and I have plenty left to do. It's not just the time frame but it's finding the right pieces and the cash flow to do it! Can't wait to see the whole thing :)

it looks sooo great but your right it takes a while to get it looking right and well it's a never ending project to make it look perfect. I find myself moving things around from room to room and adding more and more to the list. Good luck but it's looking great!

Okay, I'm officially jealous that you own all the Jane Austen novels. Those editions are gorgeous.

Umm I'm still working on mine! Over a year in progress! But I wanted it to feel collected, not shopped!

My home is a continual work in progress! Your place is looking great! I am going to NYC in December for the first time and we are actually staying at someone's apt who rents it out to vacationers...it will be awesome to know what it's like to live in a real Manhattan apt in a great shopping district! www.styleoyster.blogspot.com

My place is still constantly changing and evolving - I don't think decorating is ever really done! lol The important thing to remember is get what you want and truly LOVE - don't just buy pieces to fill a space :) Your apt is coming together beautifully, M! I love every little detail you've shared!

your whole apartment is very nice. But my house is continuously in under construction. I hope my house will look like yours house or apartment. But now a days i am looking some furniture for my new house from some online furniture stores and from some physical stores. Lets see what happened?
