Flower Power

Yesterday Michael and I were running errands and popped into a local florist where I spent an inordinate amount of money on flowers with which to photograph some new products for the boutique. Sticker shock aside, I can't tell you how happy it makes me to have some fresh blooms around here...

Whether you're entertaining or just treating yourself to something pretty for your desktop or your dresser, there's nothing like a fresh bouquet to put a skip in your step! I went with blue and white hydrangea and pink peonies. What's your bloom of choice?

I love having fresh flowers around the house. I know that the sticker shock is painful, but they are oh-so-worth it for the improvement of any space!

I usually go for tulips when I can! Otherwise even simple carnations will do it for me :) (Which is very Gamma Phi Beta of me, haha). I totally agree that flowers make everything cheerier.

PS-I LOVED your Ten Ways to Have a Good Day! I immediately printed it and put it on my quote wall above my desk...the quote wall that has several other quotes from your blog and Pinterest :)

I love having fresh flowers around the house. I'm a die hard hydrangea lover esp. when I can just cut them from my parents garden!

I agree. I will sacrifice my Starbucks craving for fresh flowers in my home each week. The peonies are my favorite!

fresh flowers are the best - so uplifting! My faves are fresh cut roses from the garden - when buying....soemthing really fragrant - tuberose, sweetpea or stock are my go-to's as they can literally fill a room with fragrance in the evenings. Gorgeous Photos, Mackenzie!
