WEEKEND WARDROBE

pearls  //  lip gloss  //  notepad  //  cosmetic case  //  dress  //  weekender  //  heels

I'm packing my bags for a day trip to Rhode Island, where Carly and I will be talking about the building blocks of blogging at the Lady Project Summit. (And I'm excited to use my cute new little cosmetic case — please check out the new arrivals if you haven't already!) This week really did a number on me so I'm excited to get out of the city for a day and clear my head — road trips are good for that, aren't they? I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well. xx

I love those heels! They are so classy and yet so unique. The dress is super cute too, navy and white is honestly one of the best color combinations.

My brother-in-law is in the restaurant biz in Austin. His group has recently opened 3 new eateries that are unique to Austin. Start with coffee and chocolate croissants/pastries that rock the house at Easy Tiger at 6th St.and I-35. They also have a beer garden and nice outdoor patio. Then stop for lunch at 24 Diner at 6th and Lamar. Here you can grab diner fare that is chef-created, organic, farm- to-table, and SO delicious. They also serve breakfast all day and have a great selection of wine. For dinner, head to their newest eatery, Arro, for casual yet elegant French cuisine. Google Chef Andrew Curren -he is the executive chef and helped create all 3 of these gems. They have all been written up in national and local mags. My other Austin favs would be Fonda San Miguel for Mexican food, Guero's for tacos on Congress, Uchi for sushi, sweet rolls from Upper Crest Bakery (46th and Lamar-you really must try if you can!). Try the Hotel St. Cecilia bar-this is a very cool boutique hotel. Can you tell I'm obsessed with Austin? Hope this helps! Have fun!
