CHRISTMAS BAR CART

Target glassware c/o  //  C. Wonder ginger jar (similar)

As you may remember from this post last year, I'm a big fan of holiday decor that's not your traditional red and green. A little garland and a single strand of Christmas lights make even hot pink feel totally festive! I wish I were planning a fabulous holiday fĂȘte this year but that will have to wait for a larger apartment... In the mean time, this happy little set-up is enough to tide me over until Christmas in Connecticut! How have you decorated chez vous? Do tell so I can live vicariously! ;)

THE CLASSIC GIRL'S ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS LIST

I've talked about gifts for guys, gifts for little ones, and dresses for holiday parties... With fifteen days until Christmas, now it's time for the big one. The hardest part of holiday shopping for me, without fail, is buying for the girl who has everything and (sometimes worse) knowing what to ask for myself. So I've put together a pretty comprehensive list of gifts I think any classic girl would love. You'll see a slideshow with my top 20 or so picks, a smaller slideshow with dozens more ideas, and a list of ideas from my own boutique — you can see why I'm calling this your ultimate list! I hope it helps you find something you love, whether it's for you or your mom/daughter/sister/wife/girlfriend/BFF/cousin/coworker/you name it. Enjoy!

A few best-sellers from my boutique:

And thirty more ideas just because!

WEDNESDAY WISHLIST

one  //  two  //  three  //  four  //  five  //  six  //  seven  //  eight  //  nine

A little interiors themed wishlist since I seriously miss the process of decorating my apartment! Serena & Lily has some seriously awesome original artwork right now — I love this, this, and this. I really think there are few home purchases more special than artwork that makes you happy but I included a few really fun decor items above if you're not looking to break the bank on an original canvas. Isn't the lucite letter great? I think it'd make a perfect gift for just about anyone. Speaking of decor gifts, these and these seem to be the most popular item for the holidays so far! Stay tuned for a little weekend sale...!

GET THE LOOK {EVA CHEN'S OFFICE}

Confession: I have a teensy bit of a girl crush on Eva Chen, editor-in-chief of Lucky Magazine. I've been following her on Instagram for, oh, forever and kind of live vicariously through her fashion adventures. I was so excited when Domino published photos of her office — it's seriously eye candy overload. Above are my favorite shots but be sure to check out the full feature for more! Shop the slideshow below to recreate the look chez vous:

LULU & GEORGIA BOOKENDS

It's been too long since I shared any apartment updates! I kind of took a break from decorating after my apartment tour went live but I've added a couple new items and restyled here and there. This spot is on top of the radiator underneath my gallery wall and I recently restyled it with these horse bookends courtesy of Lulu & Georgia. It's right next to my desk so I wanted it to be a colorful little vignette that would brighten my work day! Paired with a few of my favorite books, my go-to candle, and some matches from my boutique, the bookends are the perfect equestrian accent. Check out how some of my blogger friends styled their bookends on the Lulu & Georgia blog and shop a few of my favorite books in the slideshow below.

P.S. Want some bookends of your own? Use code BOOKWORM for free shipping with your order!

P.P.S. How gorgeous is the painting by Theresa Drapkin?! Her Etsy shop is full of gorgeous original paintings — I can't wait to see what she creates next!

SUGAR PAPER'S STUDIO

Can I let you all in on a little secret? My apartment is a mess right now. There are products from the boutique in the kitchen cabinets, outgoing shipments lined up at the front door, and a bag of packing peanuts currently sitting in my shower. Running a small business in a tiny NYC studio apartment is so not glamorous! I keep saying it'll make for a good first chapter in my book someday ;)

So here it goes: one of my biggest goals for the next year is to secure office space to share with friends who are also running their own businesses. I love working for myself but it's hard working by myself all the time. I have big dreams for my business and it's important to surround myself with the right people and enough space to make them come true! The very thought makes me giddy.

...which brings me to the above studio tour. The Everygirl photographed and interviewed the women behind Sugar Paper in their Los Angeles headquarters and the feature left me totally inspired. I'm so impressed with their space and what they've accomplished with their line and their team. I carry several Sugar Paper items in my boutique (shop them right here!) and loved reading about how they've gotten to where they are now. From my messy apartment, onward and upward!

APARTMENT ENVY

Do you all keep up with the APT with LSD feature on Vogue's website? It's brimming with some seriously chic interior inspiration like the above West Village home of interior designer Rebecca de Ravenel. A girl after my blue-and-white-loving heart! Totally bookmarking for my next apartment whenever that is ;) Here are 15 pieces to help us both get the look:

ORGANIZED MAKEUP TRAY

Do you all read Into The Gloss? I started reading it to pick up a few beauty recommendations (admittedly hopeless when it comes to makeup...) and was excited to see Emily from Cupcakes & Cashmere featured this week. How pretty is this acrylic tray in her bathroom? Not that I have the counter space for this at the moment but you could totally recreate the look with the monogrammed acrylic tray in my boutique. Goal for new apartment? Window and ample counter space in the bathroom. Dreaming big over here! ;)

AMY STONE'S APARTMENT TOUR

I'm excited beyond belief that my friend Amy let me photograph her apartment to share with you all! She lives in the cutest one-bedroom in the West Village — I'm seriously obsessed with all her little treasures and trinkets. Isn't her desk set-up to die for? Don't be surprised when my Pinterest is covered in pictures of her place. Shop the slideshow below for a few pieces to recreate Amy's look chez vous:

INTERIOR INSPIRATION

A few of the things inspiring me in the interior realm lately: gold picture frames, hot pink dining chairs, lucite tables, pale blue slipper chairs, and the cutest striped sofa I ever did see. For more interior inspiration, follow me here. I hope you have a happy and inspired Sunday! xx

LINEN DRESS FORM

My cousin Emily recently moved into the cutest studio in midtown and I stopped by this past weekend to nap in her bed check out her decorating progress. It really deserves a home tour of its own but here's one of my favorite details: a linen dress form from her dorm room days that's now the perfect home for her Design Darling tortoiseshell necklace (which is finally back in stock!). Oh and everything is better with a little grosgrain ribbon. Bravo, Emily!

HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR JEWELRY

I was totally overwhelmed by the positive feedback on my studio tour last week! I'm excited to break it down a little and share some projects and sources that have been particularly helpful for making it work in such a small space. Given the interest for this post on how to organize your clutches, I thought some of you might like to know how I organize my jewelry.

I started with these Container Store acrylic jewelry stands in two heights: one for bracelets and one for necklaces. I happen to own way more bracelets than necklaces so the taller one holds a mixture of the two. I keep my earrings and rings in boxes and trays — right now I have this on my windowsill and this on my bathroom counter.

My clutches and my jewelry sit on top of the dresser in my only closet (note to self: next apartment must have double the closet space). I like that the jewelry stands are clear so the surface of my dresser looks tidy and I can see all my accessories at a glance.

What do you think? Could you live with this organization system? How do you store and display your jewelry?

CHRISTOPHER BURCH'S SOUTHAMPTON HOME

Remember when Carly and I went out to Southampton with C. Wonder? (Pictures here, here, here, and here). We had the pleasure of eating lunch at founder Christopher Burch's home, which was just published in Architectural Digest. It was such a treat to take a virtual tour of the whole place having seen the grounds in person! No surprise here: my favorite room is the blue and pink master suite. How chic is that glossy white ceiling? Here are a few pieces to help you recreate the look chez vous
