Equal parts sexy and ladylike, a little lace is a must-have in every modern woman's wardrobe. Whether you don it in daytime or reserve it for evening wear, you can achieve a look that's just as put together as those of these leading ladies.
Happy {Girly Girl} Weekend
Recruitment for my sorority is underway and it's time to walk the walk and talk the talk! I hope you have an equally action-packed weekend wherever you are...
...and squeeze in a little cuddle or breakfast in bed. Have a good one and see you on Monday!

Zzz
Quite wishing I were still in bed this morning, preferably in one of these dark and handsome boudoirs where I could draw the shades and catch up on a little much-needed rest.

The Long And Short Of It
Shorts are a surprisingly versatile staple that work double duty for day, night, summer, and fall alike. Don't believe me? Look to these leading ladies for a little transitional wardrobe inspiration.
March Style Icon Gwyneth Paltrow rocks a high-waisted pair with a simple white button-down, mixed metal accessories, and black pointed toe pumps.
Blake Lively, who made an appearance in my Style Icon series in February, works the same palette in a down-to-there white blazer...
...and updates the formula with a sequined blazer and oxford pumps for an evening appearance.
A summer tan pairs well with a pale blue blazer, khaki shorts, and gorgeous leather heels — and suits April Style Icon Cameron Diaz's casually chic style to a T.
A wool blazer and tweed shorts work well paired with neutral tights for fall.
Positively obsessed with the look on the left! Pink shorts and a metallic jacket make for effortless summer-into-fall chic.
P.S. I'll be over at Splendid Willow today sharing a summer postcard and I hope you'll meet me there!

Papered Powder Rooms
I've long preferred paint over wallpaper (too many hours spent stripping paper in an aunt's kitchen I think) but these pretty bathrooms have me reconsidering. Graphic wallpaper is perfect for small rooms like bathrooms and closets where you can make a big statement without worrying about how to decorate around it.
The forever chic Scalamandré zebra paper that I swooned over in Kate Spade's bathroom is again gorgeous with gold accents and exposed plumbing. I swear this design firm can do no wrong!

How darling is this black and white chair pattern? It reminds me of Annechovie's wildly chic chair prints. Note the black ceiling — design is in the details.
{Lonny}
Monogrammed hand towels are the perfect finishing touch in this floral bath. What a welcoming addition for guests!
Have you wallpapered any rooms in your house? Do you restrict bold patterns to smaller rooms? And lastly have you seen Jonathan Adler's insane collection of wallpaper? To die for.

My sincere apologies for falling behind on blogging last week. As some of you may know, I am in the midst of moving into my off-campus house at Bucknell and have been buried in a sea of boxes and clothes for the past few days. Add to the mix catching up with friends whom I hadn't seen since leaving for France last January, attending rush meetings for my sorority, and training for my job with Alumni Relations and it's been one busy week! Daily blogging will resume immediately and I promise I'll return your comments and emails the first chance I get. Thank you for hanging in there!

Lauren Stern
There are few moments as exciting for me as the discovery of a previously unknown to me interior designer's online portfolio. Needless to say I was thrilled to stumble upon Lauren Stern's work via a post on Seesaw Designs, who recently designed her business cards.
I'm quite certain I could walk into any one of these spaces and never want to leave!

John Robshaw

It could just be the elephant in his logo but I am loving all things John Robshaw lately. How gorgeous are these pillow covers? Each one has enough visual interest to completely morph your maison into something très, très chic.

Show & Tell {Friedasophie}
Happy Monday, everyone! I love when bloggers introduce me to their favorite Etsy sellers. The site is an incredible resource for handmade and vintage wares but honestly a little overwhelming to navigate unless you're searching for something specific. I thought we'd do a little show and tell today — I'll show you one of my favorite shops and you tell me yours!
Friedasophie pairs colorful stones with 24 karat gold to create versatile jewelry whose beauty lies in its simplicity. Take these orange stunners, for instance: perfect with a white dress in summertime or a gray cardigan come winter.
An everyday necklace for less than $20? This pendant is effortlessly chic thrown on over a white tee and jeans or layered with other pieces for a more bohemian feel.
I love this garnet and gold combination. The colors work over all neutrals, perfect for fall's resurgence of all things camel and khaki.
Piles of jewelry are all the rage right now — see trendsetters Mary-Kate Olsen and Rachel Zoe. Work the look into your repertoire with these darling single stone rings in a variety of universally flattering jewel tones.
This one-of-a-kind pendant is a total statement piece. Can you tell I'm loving turquoise?
I love the organic shape and the unbelievably luxe dipped-in-gold effect of this druzy pendant.
Which of these gorgeous pieces from Friedasophie will you be adding to your shopping cart and what are some of your other favorite Etsy shops?
