Particularly when paired with white walls and simple furnishings, they steal the show every time. An added bonus? The higher the ceiling, the taller the Christmas tree! The Thanksgiving festivities have wound down around here and it's time for me to get to work before I head back to school on Sunday — just in time for final exams! This semester has flown by and I'm so looking forward to the New Year and a clean slate. Enjoy the rest of your long weekend!

Giving Thanks

I know you're all busy busy in the kitchen or on the road but I wanted to take a moment and say thank you for reading, commenting, emailing, and making me feel like the above every single day. It's been a big year for me — an unforgettable internship with Jonathan Adler, my first articles published in Rue, a new column with Design Refuge (starting in December!), and countless new friends for whom I will be forever grateful. I never knew blogging would give me everything it has and I'm thankful from the bottom of my heart.
