WHERE HAVE YOU TRAVELED?

I'm spending the next couple weekends out of town (my sister's graduation, Sarah's wedding!) and it made me think how much I miss traveling, both near and far. I lived in France for six months in college, moved to California for a few months after graduation, and my family has a goal to see all fifty states together... It's safe to say I love a good adventure!

I thought it would be fun to count up the number of countries and states I've visited and ask you to do the same! (You know I love a good list.) My tally is 12 countries and 36 states — I would love to hear yours! One of the goals on my bucket list is to set foot on all seven continents and so far I've only hit two. How about you?!

P.S. How cool is this corkboard map?

NEW ARRIVALS AT DESIGN DARLING

I'll keep this short and sweet: new goodness happening at designdarling.com! The grab bag would make for a perfect beach tote and I'm already using this laundry bag in my closet. Check out all the new arrivals here and let me know what you think! xx

OUTFIT {DEVON BAER PEPLUM SKIRT}

And just so you know what Eddy has to put up with while we're taking pictures...
I've got moves.

I can't decide if this look is a little too 50s housewife with the cat eye sunnies and the pearls but I suppose playing dress-up never hurt anybody. The shades were a gift from C. Wonder during our Hamptons excursion last week (tons of pictures on Instagram!) and I'm kind of digging the departure from my go-to Ray-Bans. Oh and the skirt! You know when a piece of clothing hits you at just the right spot and makes you feel ten pounds less than you are? My girl Devon totally nailed it with this one — so much so that I now own this baby in lavender and navy. What's that saying? Oh right, if the shoe fits...

SPRING PARTY ESSENTIALS

I need to stop using a tiny apartment as an excuse not to entertain! I've lived in New York for four and a half months and I've yet to host any sort of housewarming. Now that I finally have all my furniture in place, I think it's time to bribe some friends up to the Upper East Side for cocktails and girl talk, don't you think?

MACKENZIE BEDDING AT BISCUIT HOME

I don't know if I've ever been more flattered than the day my friend Bailey asked if she could design a bedding collection and name it after me. Ummm are you kidding? She designed the most precious bow print and indulged my request for it to come in hot pink and navy blue.

I also think the crib sheet would be adorable for a baby girl's room. Shop the Mackenzie print and check out all the new prints here — I'm crazy about the Amber shams and Katie sheets.

5 EASY WAYS TO BRIGHTEN YOUR SPACE

1. Buy yourself a bouquet of fresh blooms! Peony season has arrived and there's no quicker way to add a little life to your abode.

2. Clear off one surface. Just one. Pick one spot that's been driving you crazy and take a half hour to tidy. A clear desk, dining table, or dresser always feels like a big accomplishment!

3. Set up a bar cart... or at least a bar tray. Take your prettiest bottles (Hendricks, Pellegrino, whatever floats your boat) and display them on a tray (preferably monogrammed) with your favorite glasses (preferably turquoise). Add a pretty bowl of lemons or limes for good measure. Little styled vignettes never fail to make me feel at home... and the occasional happy hour never hurt anybody.

4. Do the dishes. If there's one chore I put off, it's this one. (Why is it acceptable that New York apartments don't have dishwashers?!

5. Take ten minutes and hang all your clothes. Please tell me I'm not the only girl who gets ready to go out by trying on 1,392 outfits and throwing the rejects all over the floor. I don't know how or why it happens but it does. Seeing my favorite clothes hung up neatly does wonders for brightening my mood... and getting dressed in the morning.

What's your favorite way to brighten your space? Leave your tips in the comments! xx
