Every now and then I stumble upon a pricier piece of clothing and my instant reaction is, "want it, need it, have to have it." The last time this happened was with my Alice & Olivia bow jacket... I saw it, fell in love, and couldn't bear the thought of passing it up only to regret not having it later on (reverse buyer's remorse, anyone?). The same was true for this skirt: navy and white stripes, tulip shape, WITH pockets?! I couldn't resist. I actually bought it right after Christmas (and followed the purchase with a month of no shopping) so I'm ecstatic that it's finally warm enough to wear it in public! I'm so in love with it that I can safely say it was a sound investment for my wardrobe. What was your last investment purchase? Do you still love it? I'm dying to hear! xx

I agree wholeheartedly with your philosophy :) Want it, need it, have to have it, especially with pieces that I know are worth it, will last forever, and I'll wear over and over again.
My last purchase like this was a beautiful pinkish-beige leather tote from Florence, Italy. There was not a moment of regret in swiping the card for that one :)

Zozobra — That tote sounds amazing. Now you have me coveting a handbag in pale pink... :)

I just bought a Longchamp bag and I love it. It was worth every penny.

I absolute love this skirt! It looks perfect on you, definitely worth the investment! Oh reverse buyer's remorse is the worst. I'm still kicking myself over a pair of sandals from years ago.
Taylor — Oooh yes to the Longchamp! I have had my navy one since high school (probably ought to replace it soon!) and have gotten SO much use out of it. Enjoy!
Lyndsay — Reverse buyer's remorse IS the worst! Next time you fall in love with a pair of shoes, don't think twice! ;)
This skirt is adorable!!!
Can speak to the most recent impulse purchase. iPhone, eBay app and wine definitely don't mix! Ouch.
There's nothing better than having pieces you truly LOVE in your wardrobe. My last big purchase was a YSL bag. It's been a great investment so far because it ups the chic level of really simple outfits!
An AWESOME look for spring, and good for work or play :)
