All About Aqua

Today I'd like to trade lives with whoever owns this pool, whip up a tray of festive beverages in this kitchen, and wear this necklace as I lounge poolside with a stack of magazines. Do join me, won't you?

Summer Brights

The temperature in San Francisco might have me confused but Twitter the weatherman tells me it's hot, hot, hot on the east coast. Whether you're seeking refuge in air-conditioned climes or faking it 'til you make it, I hope you'll join me in sporting the colors of the season! Every camera looks better with a striped strap.

Pattern Play

I made a bold attempt at combining leopard print, polka dots, and stripes — red pout and statement necklace optional. The subtle combination of black and navy feels very modern to me these days. Would you dare?!

Summer in San Francisco {Packing List}

I booked my flight to San Francisco this weekend (June 4 — so soon!) and I have been thinking of all the little things I want to pack ever since: notebooks to jot down ideas for blog posts and names of restaurants to try, my iPhone and monogrammed cover to share my adventures with you all, an eco-friendly bag for groceries, stationery for sending letters back east, sunglasses to stay safe in the sun, and of course a darling striped picnic blanket for my days off!

Pink Packs A Punch.

One of the many reasons I love Pinterest is that it functions as a virtual inspiration board for all the looks I'm loving of late. Today my fashion board made it clear I'm craving a pop of pink in clothing, makeup, and accessories. I highly recommend the site, which comes with a "Pin It" bookmarklet so you can instantly save any image from any site onto any one of your inspiration boards. And did you hear that a Pinterest iPhone app is on its way? Brilliant. Here are a few things on my mind:

P.S. I'm sharing my [totally cheesy] musical stylings on Kalyn Johnson's blog Possess Your Style today. Please stop by if you have the chance!

Client Work!

I'm beyond thrilled to announce that I have begun to take on a couple of interior design projects! This is an idea board I drew up for a New York City loft where we're trying to incorporate the client's impressive Danish modern furniture collection into a more colorful, Lonny-inspired space that feels effortless and family-friendly. What do you think?

Daily Crushes

Just popping in to let you know that I'm sharing my daily crushes on, er, Daily Crush today! Katie is a total sweetheart and I think you'll really love her blog. Enjoy!

No. 79

It's hard to stay put in a Pennsylvania winter, particularly after spending last spring studying in France. My wanderlust is in full gear these days and I'm itching to take a trip to Montreal. In fact, it's no. 79 on my 101 in 1001 list. Have any of you been?

P.S. I have this camera and I adore it. It's responsible for all the pictures on my travel blog!

Two Guest Posts

Today I'm blogging about the essentials of the preppy young professional over at College Prep:

Here, There, and Everywhere

If you're like me, you can't get enough.

Turning Heads Red

Happy Valentine's Day! Whether you're a lover or a cynic of this over-the-top holiday, I hope you'll join me in wearing a little more pink and red than this time of year ordinarily warrants. If you won't spring for the pink dress, how about a red manicure?

Idea Board {Home Office}

I always love this sort of post on other people's blogs so I'm making an effort to publish more of them around here! Idea boards (inspiration boards, mood boards, what have you) definitely take more time to assemble but it's exciting to see it all come together. What do you think of this imaginary home office I designed? The colors remind me of the outfit I styled here.

Be My Valentine

How do you celebrate Valentine's Day? A cocktail party with the girls or a lovey-dovey dinner date? I'm thinking les deux — a little soirée at our house and a table for two to exchange this year's gift: love letters. I would love to hear your plans!

Get The Look {Joe Schmelzer}

I adore this living room photographed by Joe Schmelzer and rounded up a list of lookalike resources in case you love it as much as I do. What do you think?
