Let's get some shoes.

Specifically, shoes of the leopard/nude/tan variety. Truthfully, my cowboy boots and Reva flats could use the day off and any of these would make an ideal substitute.

Clockwise from top left:
I'll take a size 6 in the shoes and a size 7 in the boots, just in case you're feeling generous. What shoes are you eyeing for fall?

You should know...

...that these fuchsia wool pants ($118) from J.Crew's fall collection are keeping me awake at night. I may have mentioned my adoration of all things J.Crew before (say, here, here, here, and here) but this collection is just above and beyond. Go check out their new arrivals and then come back and tell me you didn't add 18,384 things to your cart. We're birds of a feather, you and me.

Desk Du Jour

These pictures of Amy's desktop on her blog Coffee Talk made me smile. Her workspace screams organized chaos in the best way possible: high-tech, magazines everywhere, and coffee at the ready. What more could a girl want?
What does your ideal workspace look like? If you'd prefer not to discuss work matters on a Friday, I'll understand. Happy weekending!

P.S. I'm first class on Gabrielle's blog Savvy Home today. See what I mean here!

Currently Coveting

I check Shopbop's new arrivals every day without fail and the list of items I "heart" has expanded accordingly. Here's a sampling of items that I'd be happy to call my own...
{To add to my stack...}
{To pair with jeans come fall...}
{To invest in ladylike classics...}

What pieces are you coveting for your closet these days?

Graphic Image on sale!

Remember when I collaborated with Graphic Image to bring you this giveaway? I haven't been able to get their happy-hued leather accessories out of my head since.
I splurged on this address book ($64) in bright yellow leather and suffice it to say I'm obsessed. I can't wait to add all my family and friends' contact information, which you may recall is on my 101 in 1001 list!
I also bought this business card case ($41) in hot pink leather and I can't wait to show it off at my next networking event. It picks up on my blog logo's hot pink dress perfectly! (Remember how I was just complaining about my out-of-control business card collection? Who knew a couple Graphic Image purchases could knock two tasks off my 101 in 1001 list?)

Want to invest in a few new office essentials yourself? I have very happy news for you! Every single thing on Graphic Image's website is 50% off today thanks to their Christmas in July event. That means my address book costs just $32 and my business card case only $20 and change. Of course my cart is filled up to here with lots of other little luxuries. Shop to it!

Weekend snapshots...

Michael and I covered a lot of ground this weekend! It was his first visit to San Francisco and we wanted to see a bit of everything. We did a ton of walking (even stopping in a nail salon for an indulgent foot massage!) and rekindled some of that adventuresome spirit from our days abroad...
On Saturday we perused the farmers' market at the Ferry Building...
Picked up picnic ingredients from Acme Bread and Cowgirl Creamery...
Swung by Ghirardelli Square...
And made dinner with a few farmers' market purchases (enabling me to cross that one off my 101 in 1001 list!).
On Sunday we ate brunch outside at a little spot down the block...
Where we may or may not have indulged in these yummy beignets...
Followed later on by an ice cream cone at Bi-Rite and a little sunbathing in Dolores Park.
On Monday we hopped on a ferry to Sausalito...
Which occasioned picturesque views of the Golden Gate Bridge...
In Sausalito we grabbed a bite to eat (followed quickly by more ice cream) and chatted with a counterbalance artist on the dock...
And topped off the weekend with a baseball game at AT&T Park. Check out that view! We managed to pack a lot of mileage into a few short days and had a great time exploring the city together. I miss him already!

P.S. On an unrelated but equally happy note, Graphic Image is celebrating Christmas in July with 50% off everything sitewide today only! If you're still upset you didn't win the Graphic Image giveaway I hosted a while back, now's your chance to invest in a new address book, iPad case, passport cover... You can tell my cart is full!

Oopsy daisy.

My boyfriend is headed back to New York today and the morning completely got away from me. I promise I'll be back in full swing tomorrow with pictures from our weekend! Happy Tuesday, my friends.

P.S. Would you ever try blue nail polish? It looks pretty here but I always gravitate toward pinks and reds.

Blog Crush {Her Waise Choice}

If you follow me on Twitter, you know that one of my new favorite pastimes is clicking through other bloggers' blogrolls to find new-to-me blogs. I found Jen's blog Her Waise Choice through Anh at 9 to 5 Chic and instantly fell in love with her unfussy elegance.
Jen describes herself as "a Vancouver girl who believes that you can be stylish without being superficial, on trend without being a slave to fashion, and look good without looking down on others." I mean, who doesn't love that philosophy?
Like me, Jen gravitates toward solid colors or simple patterns like polka dots and stripes. Much of her wardrobe seems to be geared toward classic pieces like statement sunglasses and the perfect trench.
I also like Jen's emphasis on affordability. Many of her fashion finds come from places like Forever 21, H&M, and Zara — perfect for those of us on a college student or recent grad budget.
Isn't she adorable? I love that she mixes polka dot prints of different sizes.

I have the same white skirt from Zara and I love the idea of pairing stripes with leopard print. How unexpectedly chic!
Do yourself a favor and go check out Her Waise Choice. Now tell me — what are some of your favorite new-to-you blogs?

Happy {Summer Lovin'} Weekend!

Rue's sixth issue is slated to come out next Monday, July 25, and I have no doubt we'll all be working in overdrive to make that happen! Thankfully my boyfriend is flying into San Francisco for a few days before I have to kick it into high gear. Here's hoping his visit will provide just the rejuvenation I need...
If our weekend consists of nothing more than sleeping in, brunching out, and his first Giants' game, I'll be one happy girl. What are your plans for this summer weekend?

Quote du jour.

Shoppin' at Poppin

Confession: I am completely and hopelessly addicted to school supplies. (Or are they called office supplies once you've graduated?) Regardless, it says so in my about page and that means it must be true. So when the friendly folks over at Poppin offered to send a few goodies my way, you should know I was all over that.
Free goodies and saucy packaging? It doesn't get much better than that.
I'm loving my new medium red notebook and you can bet I'm putting my new ballpoint pens to good use with my obsessive list-making. Of course the swag bag worked because I've now added these other must-haves to my cart...
And if their awesome office supplies weren't enough, Poppin is debuting a furniture line in the near future. I can only expect that it will be as colorful and contemporary as my new goodies! Go check them out and let me know if you're as obsessed as I am.

Chez Azaria

When I came to California, I thought I was packing for summer — sunshine, warm weather, etc. Little did I know that San Francisco summers are anything but! With the chilly temps and hazy fog we've been experiencing lately, I can safely say I'd much rather be hanging at actor Hank Azaria's Bel Air home a few hours south of here...
Designed by Trip Haenisch, the 1932 property features views of both the ocean and the bright lights of Los Angeles.
I love the open plan of the kitchen. The stainless steel and more rustic island make for a very organic feel — just the California cool I've been missing!
Where there's sunshine, there ought to be an outdoor living space. I could happily spend all day out here, blogging and reading for my 101 in 1001 list.
The interior of the home leaves nothing to be desired, featuring dramatic pinstriped walls and an on-trend Beni Ourain rug.
And then there's this. I mean, what more could you need?

Introducing... K. Slademade!

I could not be more excited to introduce you to a new Design Darling sponsor this morning! I am so fortunate to have sponsors whose work I truly love and feel passionate about sharing with you. Without further ado, a new-to-me favorite: K. Slademade!
My first order arrived with a handwritten card on adorable customized stationery from the owner, Kelsea. When the packaging is this cute, you know what's inside is going to be even better!
I've been carrying my new Suzy Market clutch literally everywhere! The upper is hot pink canvas and the bottom is handsome pony brown leather.
The gold zipper opens up to a plain canvas interior with a charming hand-sewn tag. It's the simplicity of Kelsea's designs that makes me certain I'll be carrying my new clutch for years to come.
After falling in love with my first clutch, I've gone back to her shop to add several more to my favorites. This fold-over Mexican-inspired clutch ($62) has my name written all over it. How perfect with a pink top and white jeans for summer!
I think this fold-over pony leather clutch ($68) will be my next purchase. Its oversized shape makes it chic, practical, and versatile — in other words, destined for very heavy rotation in my wardrobe!
My Suzy Market clutch is available in other colors as well! I love the color-block effect of combining canvas with leather. The best part? It's only $54!

I'm seriously in love with Kelsea's shop and can't wait to expand my personal K. Slademade collection. I'm absolutely ecstatic to have her on board and I know I can count on you to give her a warm welcome!
