ON FRIDAYS, WE WEAR PINK

Oooof, thank God it's Friday. I truly love what I do but this time of year is absolute mayhem for running an online store and it's been a little too long since I had a good night's sleep or a day that didn't involve some sort of last-minute crisis. Eddy and I have been packing and shipping practically around the clock (this was just one afternoon this week...) and I think we're both really ready for a break from work and some quality time with our families. Finally it feels like we're in the home stretch! Because my own outfits have been sweatshirts and yoga pants nothing to write home about this week, here's a little pop of hot pink to inspire your weekend style... I hope you have a great one! xx

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS...

Can you believe there are less than ten days until Christmas? My apartment is feeling a lot like Santa's workshop right now with all hands on deck for holiday orders. We still have plenty of items in stock and ready to ship in time for Christmas, including our popular monogrammed desk accessories (which we can now monogram in gold!). 

If you're still shopping (I'm totally guilty...), all orders placed by this Wednesday, December 18, will arrive before Christmas Eve (unless specified otherwise in the product description). It's been a really amazing holiday season already and I can't wait to have all your orders in the mail so we can all sit back, relax, and enjoy the most wonderful time of the year!

A little garland and a single strand of Christmas lights make even hot pink feel totally festive! I wish I were planning a fabulous holiday fête this year but that will have to wait for a larger apartment... WHAT TO WEAR WHEN IT'S FREEZING

I don't know about you but the moment it gets cold or wet outside, I pretty much go into survival mode. (How many layers can I possibly wear at one time?) We had our first real snowfall in New York this past weekend and I've totally been guilty of sacrificing style for staying dry and warm. I'd like to think it's totally possible to do both, à la these inspiring examples...

A few style notes: winter white coats, pom pom hats (I asked my parents for this one for Christmas), faux fur, my new favorite coat, leather gloves (great selection right here). My favorite is the navy coat with yellow details — the perfect bit of prep. Stay warm, my friends! xx

I promise I'm going to share my next 101 in 1001 list with you! My first list wrapped up this fall (I can't believe I started it in college!) and I'm only now coming up with the final tasks for my second list. I'm so close! I can't wait to get started and of course to share it here on the blog.

In the mean time, I would love your help! I'm so inspired by all the people who have shared their lists with me (they're all listed here under #2) — it's crazy how many of us share similar dreams and goals. With only a few more tasks to write on my next list, I'd love to know what you'd like to accomplish in your next 1001 days (2.75 years). It could be anything: achieving a personal fitness goal, finding volunteer work you're passionate about, saving up for your dream bag, traveling to a new place, trying a new food... Whatever it is, I'm dying for a little inspiration!

Eddy and I pack orders for the boutique on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and Carly and I work on our laptops at a coffee shop on Tuesday/Thursday. Ideally I'd be spending less time packing boxes and more time on blog collaborations and product sourcing but still I've never felt so happy to be working hard at something I love. 

This is a pretty standard look for me these days: oversized sweater, skinny jeans, and shoes that don't kill my feet. Carly and I have vowed to snap each other's outfits more often (does this mean I have to do my hair every day?) so I hope you'll stay tuned for a few more style posts around these parts! xx

REAL MEN WEAR PINK ;)

Have you ever seen anything more precious in your whole life? My family's dog Coach and my puppy Rory (who is roughly twice as big now...!) received these hot pink quilted vests from Martha Stewart Pets and I was legitimately squealing when we put them on. And they'll be super warm for winter in Connecticut/New York! If you look closely, the quilting is actually stitching in the shape of dog bones... Too. Cute. For. Words.

My mom and I popped into Nordstrom when we were up in Rhode Island for Thanksgiving and had a lot of fun sampling perfumes (thank God for coffee beans...) and a few beauty products. Marc Jacobs Daisy is already in my rotation but we both surprisingly really liked Katy Perry's Killer Queen fragrance (a similar floral scent — I'm so predictable!). The bottle is super unique and truth be told I kind of have a girl crush on her after watching her documentary on Netflix.
