Faux Calligraphy

One of the tasks on my 101 in 1001 list is to take a calligraphy lesson. Since that's not exactly in the cards right now, I was absolutely thrilled to stumble upon this tutorial for "faux calligraphy" from Jones Design Company via Pinterest.

I played around with different scripts and I have to say I love the way they turned out! In fact I'm afraid I've created a monster ;) Of course it's not as good as the real deal but it'll definitely tide me over... and give me a reason to keep practicing!

Gorgeous - that is also on my 'bucket list'. What is it that draws us to that beautiful lettering? The lines... the swirls... the freedom that the penmanship represents? Thank you so much for sharing... have a marvelous day.

That is so beautiful! I love pinterest! I could spend all day on there! I love pretty handwriting! I love practicing my handwriting and finding a new script. My boyfriend thinks it is pure foolishness though...he might be right. I think very few people older than 12 practice their handwriting!

Isn't that tutorial the best? I wrote my to-do list using her tips this weekend, and was unusually productive :) Happy Monday!
