A Los Angeles interior and textile designer known for her love of pattern, Kathryn Ireland sticks to her signature style with this colorful bedroom. Large-scale art, embroidered linens, and a Moroccan rug merge to create modern bohemian style that looks equal parts exotic and effortless.
Desk Du Jour
I love this built-in kitchen office with its open shelving and vintage cookbooks. Juxtaposed with the stainless steel stove, it's an attainable alternative to the home office for those without an extra room to convert.

Big Hair & Bright Color
Citrusy hues, simple shifts, fistfuls of gold jewelry, and — my newest discovery — wavy volume. These sassy summer looks are everything a design darling needs to help her survive the rest of winter.

P.S. Have you had a moment to read my brand spanking new "about" page? I'd love to hear what you think of my little biography — it's so hard to write about yourself!

Rise & Shine
I'm awake at an ungodly hour this morning — which for me means 8:15 — to tackle some work before the day truly begins. (Hey, I worked hard to get to senior year and be able to schedule my classes in the afternoon.) It made me think a) that I would much prefer to be curled up in this beautiful bedroom from the pages of Lonny, b) I'm grateful for coffee shop employees who understandingly offer an extra shot of espresso without me asking for it, and c) that waking up and seizing the day might actually be better than my usual night owl tendencies. What time does your alarm go off in the morning?

Kelly Wearstler, Blogger
That's right. Everybody's favorite out there interior designer adds a new title to her résumé with a brand new blog called My Vibe My Life. Created to share her creative process and personal photographs, the blog launched with a post about "vibe trays," the designer's three-dimensional version of the inspiration board. Compiling hardware, paint chips, fabric swatches, upholstery trim, Wearstler then stacks the trays in her L.A. showroom. If you're like me and have ever wondered how she pulls together such an eclectic mix of patterns and textures, it looks like we've got our answer. I look forward to reading more of her latest venture!
