Bedroom Beauty

This beautiful bedroom created by L.A. interior designer Mary McDonald inspired the white trim that I painted on the hot pink walls of my bedroom. I adore the crisp white against the matte navy walls, not to mention the use of my favorite color as an accent. Toss a white canopy, a tufted velvet ottoman, and a hexagonal pattern on the rug and I'm ready to pack my bags and move in.

P.S. Have you read Mary McDonald's new book? Buy your copy here.

the colors...oh the colors! I love this! I just painted my living room a coral color and gray, and I'm planning on getting a charcoal couch. I wonder if navy would look good instead of charcoal. Hmmmm, now you got me thinking!

I'm kind of obsessed with navy walls lately- through in a little pink and it's pretty much perfect!

Wow, that shade of blue is the definition of divine.

That blue is so fantastic! Our bedroom is dark green with white accents, and I am desperate to paint it gray or blue. Might have to use these photos to try and convince the husband to embark on another paint adventure with me =)

Really, you had me at Mary McDonald as the designer...she is always fabulous! But I'm with you, the pop of pink is brilliant...I'm of the opinion that pink makes pretty much *everything* better...(c:

I have to agree with oh my darling that the shade of blue is just divine. That ottoman deserves a special mention. The color and texture just makes the room more elegant.
