How do you decorate?

I have been sharing a few snaps of our Christmas decor on Twitter but I'm curious what the holiday looks like chez vous. We use traditional garland and a beloved array of collected ornaments but I love the idea of an all-out prepster Christmas à la Anna Spiro, complete with grosgrain bows and mix-and-match wrapping paper. What do the holidays look like in your home?

I like to use white feather boas intertwined with my greenery! Also, I attach any type of white feather ornament to my decor!

Those tree bows are so you! I think you must borrow that idea. Also just noticed you changed into a navy dress in your header. Adorable. :)

Oh my goodness why didn't I think of a bow-filled tree! This is so adorable and such a great idea!

So pretty! I can honestly say I have never seen a bow tree before, but I love it! I may steal your idea!

Ohhh I can't see my parent's house ever decorated untraditionally but these colors would be so fun in my apt in the city! xo

Hate to say it -fake tree, BUT real garland and wreaths. I kept everything green, white, and gold this year. Lots of glitter too!

All of my Christmas decorations have been given to my by my grandma — she has boxes, upon boxes of Christmas decorations she's collected over the years. My ornament collection is pretty much all gifts from her over the years.

But this year I have a roommate who didn't really have anything when she started out on her own, so all of her stuff is color coordinated.
