WHICH TV SHOWS DO YOU WATCH?

Since moving to my own apartment, I find I rarely turn my television on. I don't think to have it on during the day while I'm working and I'm almost never lounging around at night waiting for a favorite show to come on. While I like to think this means I'm busy living life away from my sofa, I do miss the fun of following my favorite characters or getting sucked into a new season DVD. Here are a few of the shows I've been hooked on this past year...

I love pretty costumes and interiors as much as the next girl but it's Downton Abbey's various love stories I can't resist. I'm a full season behind so no spoilers please!

Again I'm super behind on watching Girls but I do think it's my generation's take on Sex and the City albeit far less glamorous. Is Allison Williams not the most gorgeous person you've ever laid eyes on?

Never has a show gotten my heart racing quite like Homeland does. The suspense might actually kill me! I watched the first two seasons in probably two weeks and can't wait for the third season to debut in September.

I love when a show makes you think! The Newsroom is full of brilliant dialogue and stimulating coverage of current affairs. Plus the female main character's name is Mackenzie and almost makes me want to go by Mack instead of Kenzie.

Oh, The Office. I've seen every episode (many of them more than once) and will undoubtedly cry during the series finale in two weeks. Dear Jim, will you marry me?

Are you obsessed with any of the same shows? What series should I delve into next?

Keep up with Design Darling

The Newsroom omg! I got hooked on it last summer and can't wait for new episodes. Since I'm a journalism major, I can fully appreciate what they try to do on that show! So awesome. I also watch Girls sometimes, but other times it gets a little too uncomfortable for me haha. I also watch Mad Men and the Rachel Zoe Project.

I've watched and loved every one of those, except for The Office. Maybe I should start watching it? AND Girls is a bit much sometimes... I also really enjoy Modern Family, New Girl, Mad Men and of course Million Dollar Decorators.

I don't watch much TV either, but life stops for me when Scandal is on. It is so, so good! I'm on the edge of my seat every week. It's got good drama, a hot guy, good fashion - the works!

You should watch the two beaver falls series if you haven't already! They're the perfect mix of comedy, fun, seriousness, and holiday sunshine, I love them :)

I love Downton!

We also watch Mad Men, House of Cards, and Scandal. I'm still not over Gossip Girl being done forever.

If we had HBO, we would most definitely watch Homeland.

I have a new obsession with Castle. It is funny, and suspenseful, and has just the right amount of a love story. I just started with season one a couple weeks ago and I'm embarrassed to say I'm already on season 3. So good. Also, Friday Night Lights is one of a kind. I would re-watch the entire 5 seasons if I had the time.

I shamefully admit that I'm a TV guru. I even have a spreadsheet of when they're on TV. I'm a little pathetic. Haha.

I definitely recommend Scandal, Parenthood, and Dexter. Although I have plenty more to share if needed. :)

The Mindy Project is probably my favorite show on TV right now, closely followed by Homeland and Downton Abbey. I still keep up with Modern Family and the Office though.

I am a sucker for crime shows! I love Castle, Bones, and Mentalist. And even if I cannot make myself sit down and watch it Hulu and Netflix were the best things invented!

So my husband and I love to watch full series of shows together...of course one at a time. Our all time favorites were The Sopranos and Friday Night Lights. We recently watched House of Cards and are eagerly waiting for the next season. We need to watch Homeland as we've heard such wonderful things! Oh, and I guess we should try the Newsroom. We used to watch The Office but faded off after Steve Carell left.

TOTALLY AGREE. I really think The Newsroom is the best show of our generation, and I love Girls too. I should definitely watch Homeland... I'm in the middle of re-watching all the Gossip Girl episodes and I'll probably watch all of The West Wing next! Gotta love Aaron Sorkin.

I'm like you Mackenzie, I never watch TV mostly because I never find myself lounging around either! And I get very bored very quickly once the ad breaks come on! But I do adore Downton - it's an insight into another era and the costumes! I'd like to get into other shows but am happy not being a TV junkie at the same time.

I'm more of a film fan myself, and find TV shows to be too big a commitment! Having said that, there are a few shows I regularly tune into, including Mad Men, Downton Abbey, Parks and Rec and RuPaul's Drag Race! I'm also a fan of classic TV like I Dream of Jeannie, The Twilight Zone and The Dick Van Dyke Show...those are nice background shows when I'm doing chores or otherwise puttering around because you don't really need to focus on the plot.

NASHVILLE!! You totally, totally need to be watching! It is the BEST!!
